Pat a Pet Cafe on Mirpur Zoo Road offers more than your typical coffee break—it's a casual spot where city dwellers and pet lovers converge to share a relaxed atmosphere alongside a rotating cast of rescued cats. The space feels warm and inviting, with a charm that comes from fluffy feline friends ambling freely (though recently their roaming area has been scaled back to a cozy corner to protect them from seasonal illnesses). This small adjustment reflects the cafe’s care-oriented approach to its animal residents, even if it means less spontaneous encounters at times.

Visitors often come here for a low-key hangout over a cappuccino or hot chocolate, frequently accompanied by the soft presence of shy or playful cats. The interaction can be a bit hit-or-miss—some cats are reserved and prefer keeping their distance, while others are more outgoing and ready to sneak onto laps or windowsills. Because of this mix, guests who enjoy slow, quiet moments with animals will find this environment particularly soothing.

In addition to its coffee and warm drinks, Pat a Pet Cafe offers a small but thoughtful menu that now includes items for furry companions, including specially made pet birthday cakes available upon pre-order. This reflects a community vibe where pet owners can not only indulge themselves but also celebrate their pets, creating unique occasions within Dhaka’s cafe scene.

The staff are known for their friendly and welcoming demeanor, which helps keep the space feeling comfortable even as the cafe balances hospitality with pet care responsibilities. There's also a pet hotel service onsite, making it a convenient spot for pet owners to mix social time with practical needs.

This cafe suits locals and visitors who appreciate a gentler pace in a city bustling with activity, especially in the afternoon or early evening when the everyday rush slows down. It’s a place to linger over a comforting drink, perhaps bring along a pet, or simply enjoy the quiet companionship of animals that all have their own stories. While the food quality receives mixed feedback, the experience is less about a dining focus and more about the blend of cafe culture and animal interaction within an urban neighborhood.

Update: It's sad to see the cats being cased now. They have only a corner left to move around. Management said that this is to keep the cats safe from seasonal flu. Apparently, cats were getting sick from careless visitors who just visited the pet-care below the cafe. Main review: It’s obvious that the environment is sweet when some fluffy cats are walking casually around you, or having a nap in front of you. There's a safe area only for pets too; if you're worried about yours. There’s a vet too a floor below. Now, about the food— didn’t find any iced option so I ordered a latte. I enjoyed it. They've vegetarian option too. Edit: Me and my friends went there again. Those fluffy little devils!....you just can't forget them, can you? I couldn’t. So, me with some new others, ended up going there again. Cheese samosa was good. Wonton was okay to me but the penne pasta was so delicious. I'll try it next time too. Cheese samosa 8/10 Wonton 7/10 Penne pasta 9/10 Latte 8/10 Hot chocolate 7/10

We went to the Pat a Pet Cafe, and we sipped on hot chocolate and cappuccino, which tasted delightful. Our main reason for the visit was to cuddle with the adorable cats, but they seemed a bit shy and didn't come over for photos. It made me a tad sad. Nonetheless, the cafe's interior was charming, and the staff's behavior was lovely and welcoming

Perfect place to spend time for a human and pets. They have a hotel for pets. I visited there on my birthday to have a good time, which I did and the food was really good, impressed by their presentation of the food, really simple and reflected the quality. In short, quality testy food, in a resalable price. The best part is that all their cats are rescued, and they have stories behind all naming for the cat. Really friendly stuff, cosy place, you will fall in love with this restaurant if you get to know the stories. At the end of the day, I thank Allah for sending me to this restaurant to have a good time. Loved all cats and the motive behind that. I would recommend 100 times to everyone to go and visit this restaurant. I had spicy garlic butter mushrooms which by the way, was fantastic and was the perfect amount of spicy. And had spicy Thai mushrooms soup that is so good that my throat could test that. Amazing food Amazing staff best resturent. Ma shaa Allah. Really hope they kip up the consistency.

Everything was good enough. The behavior of their staff was good and very friendly. Some of the cats are very playful. Overall there is no scope for any complain except their food quality. I think they provide free service to play with their cats and you can also adopt any of those cats. That's a very good thing. They have their excuse to take a little bit of extra money for maintaining the cats. Also the food, medicine, toys and other things for these pets. I agree with them. But why the food quality so low. At least they can provide good quality food to satisfy their customers. This is a very unique thought. All the best.

I gave food 3 stars simply because of limited options and all vegetarian. But that too is logical since its a cat cafe where cats roam freely, chicken would only entice them. The people there is fantastic and very helpful. The atmosphere is amazing with lots of friendly cats and a menu to feed the cats too. Will 100% come back here for the cats.

A must visit place for cat lovers. If you want to spend a little time with cats then this is the only place in mirpur. Their drinks aren’t that good nor the food. I tried their hot latte and caramel latte chiller none of those tasted good. But if you want to spend time there you have to order something. Overall i would say this place helps to heal one's mind.
